About this blog

This is a collection of pictures that appeal to me. I am interested in photography, and in particular, pictures of women. In some cases, these pictures contain nudity, so if you are offended by images of nudity, I would advise you to not follow my blog.

What I am not interested in, however, is in arguing whether or not a photograph of a woman should be defined as art or pornography. Pornography means different things to different people. In many areas of our country, most of the images contained in the blog would be considered pornography, whether they featured a bared breast, a fully nude woman, or even a suggestive look of the eye. Thankfully, I do not live in one of those places. Indeed, in many places in the world, the mere sight of a woman’s bare shoulder would be considered pornography, and the photographing of such a sight would be considered a crime worthy of death. Suffice it to say that I loosely subscribe to the definition of pornography provided by the Supreme Court of our nation: I know it when I see it.

All that being said, I do follow my own loose code when choosing photographs to spotlight on my blog. I tend not to post photographs of an overtly sexual nature (at least I don’t find them overtly sexual) - not that I dislike those pictures, but that they can be found in great abundance elsewhere: heck, you can see a bunch of them in my likes, if you’re so inclined. Additionally, I do not post photographs that I believe are degrading to their subjects. Again, this is a hazily defined area - one may claim that the mere taking of a woman’s picture in any stage of undress is an act of degrading that woman. Suffice it to say that if I do not personally find a picture degrading, then I do not hesitate to post it. Finally, I do not post pictures of minors, but in this case, I rely on whatever evidence I can gather to determine whether the photographed subject is underage: usually, the evidence I gather with my own eyes and common sense.

Lastly, and most importantly, it should be clear that I claim ownership of none of the works pictured here. That being said, I do not post a picture if I cannot sufficiently ascribe credit to the photographer, as best as I can ascertain the photographer’s identity. To do so, I have begun tagging the photos I share with the author’s name or handle. Along those lines, if you feel like sharing the pictures I post here, I hope you will retain this authorship information in your own post.

In addition, if I find a picture on Flickr that I feel like sharing on my blog, I try to find out if the photographer has a personal Tumblr account or blog for their work, and if so, I link to it from there. However, if you find your work posted here and want it removed, let me know and I will remove it as soon as possible.

Finally, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask me, though I should warn you that I do not accept anonymous questions (which is likely why I rarely am asked any questions), and I will not dignify trolls with a response.

One last thing: I tend to post in spurts. I’ve never queued a post, and I never will. So, if you’re getting too much from me and it bothers you, then you’ve got a decision to make: unfollow, or ride it out for a half hour or so and look for me again tomorrow.

Thank you for your interest in my blog!
